Something that is very close to my heart it the protection and care for our oceans. Growing up surfing, being strongly connected to the ocean and understanding how it is our very life source on Earth.

This art print I painted because of the greed driving corporations to risk clearing forests for mines in Queensland that will damage our Great Barrier Reef by allowing increased run off into the delicate reef ecosystem, risky drilling in the Great Australian Bight (the most treacherous waters in Australia!) with huge potential for spills to occur devastating the whole southern coast of Australia. It just seems that the Aussie coastlines are now worth risking to big corporations for short term monetary growth for a very small, select group of people that don't even live here. Its something that baffles me - how we for generations have enjoyed these amazing natural attractions, and the Australian government is willing to risk losing them for future generations to enjoy.

So anyway - That is what motivated this artwork. And I'm hoping through purchases we can raise the awareness of these issues by simply using it for conversations around why protecting our natural environment isn't worth risking.
